Panthers Win!!!!!!!

I can't believe that it has been almost two weeks since my last post.

The football season has started!! MY TEAM WON!!! I am sooo excited. I was ready for them to not win because they have not won an opener since 2003. I am hoping the Panthers stay healthy. Then they have a good shot at a good record. Now if they can get thru the the Houston Texans Sunday I will be in a good mood.

Oh and not to rub it in, but my vacation to Disney World is 86 days away. Just in case you were wondering.

I can't believe I made it to Friday!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been one long tough week. I thought last week was hard. This week seemed to be even harder. For that reason alone I will not be posting any pictures. Maybe I will do something later this weekend or next week.

I do have a Panthers game I get to watch tonight. Going to Rural Hall to watch it in HD. Most importantly, however, we are going to eat a big fat meal beforehand. Frankly, that might be the best part of my day. At least I hope it's at the top of the list somewhere.

Oh and I am so close to vacation I can feel it. I am just a little over 4 Months away. I know that sounds like a lot, but as fast as this summer has gone it will be here before we know it.

It's Friday!

I thought I would show some of my favorite Disney vacation pictures this week. Believe me after the week I had I wish I were on vacation.

This picture is the Tree of Life at the entrance to the Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom happens to be one of my favorite parks.



This next picture is from Epcot. This is the also from the entrance of the park. The sign with the word Epcot and the wand have recently come down or are in the process. Lots of fun shopping at Epcot.



I saved the best picture for last. My husband took this picture. (Actually, I'm pretty sure he took all these pictures.) I like this one the best though. I think we must have been standing there for like 20 minutes while he was setting up the shot. He took a few shots and tinkered with things like the shutter speed and the zoom. Believe it or not, and those who know me won't, I didn't mind. I just kinda sat there and watched him take the pictures. This is from MGM studios, or as it will be known after January, Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Well I guess that's all I have today. I am not sure when I will be posting again. If the Panthers win Saturday night then probably on Sunday. If they don't then it may not be until next week sometime. I also have a crop next we so I won't have any vacation pictures on Friday.

Update for Fan Fest and other stuff

I thought I would keep it real simple today. I'm suppose to be on my way to bed, but I am not quite ready yet. So I thought I would do a little posting.

Fan Fest was HOT!!!!! I cannot stress that enough. My husband and I had a good time, even though we got there a little late. Don't ask me to tell you why, just know that my husband "ALWAYS" knows where he is going, but not necessarily which road is the right one to get there. We still got to see some practice and sit in a seat near the goal post. I am eagerly anticipating the beginning of the season. Preseason is just a few days away.

I also wanted to mention to Beth that I fixed the page that I had wrong in my scrapbook. I think it looks better than it did before. Thank you for catching my spelling error. I need to let you proofread all my pages before I glue them(Ha! Ha!).

My boss is taking a bunch of us out to lunch tomorrow. Wow,you say that's a good thing, right? WRONG! We have to talk about what's wrong with our company and how we can fix it. I always promise myself that I will not talk, but because even though I take very small bites, I still have a very large mouth. Well, I guess we will see what happens.

You all need to tell me you what pictures you want to see in the "Friday's are for Vacations" post. I could do any number of subjects. If I don't get any suggestions I might subject you to Walt Disney World Vacations. I mean I only have about 2500 hundred to choose from. No that is not an exaggeration. I will actually have time to post this Friday, because I don't have a crop to go to this week.

Okay I guess I'm done with my random ramblings. I should get to bed anyway.

Also I want to mention, before I get to the crafts; to my friend Beth that she should let her husband go to his Star Party in October. My husband wants to go and your husband is the only one he can go with. REALLY! I don't think he has mentioned it because he is scared you won't let him go.

This is my Honey Bun cake. I made it for a departing coworker who loved his honey buns. The way that I got them to stay on there is I used a little tape to keep them from moving. I also put a paper bowl in the center to keep the buns in a circular shape. It made it easier to carry it a cake carrier.

Here is one of my scrapbook pages from our DC trip. I used my little cricut(cricket) to cut out my title. I also used my stickles (glitter glue) to outline some of the stars for a little embellishment. Of course my husband took those pictures.

These pages I am posting for my friend Joel. I was telling him how proud I was of these pages. I used some stickers and my letters made by my cricut. I also stickled the letters a little. I don't think that shows up as nice as it actually looks. My husband and I took these pictures.

I am going to another crop tomorrow again and some more stuff will get done. Hopefully, I'll post again early in the week. Have a great day.

Friday is for vacations!!

Eastern State Penitentiary Scary and spooky, but not haunted. It was the first prison of it's kind in the nation.



Friendship Gate in Chinatown. It was donated by there sister city in China. It has no screws, nails or glue to hold it together.



Downtown Philly. The flags were a gift from the different countries for the city's bicentennial.




Rodin Museum We actually didn't go inside here. It was just across the street from our hotel, though.


Since today is Friday and I like to think of my weekends as little vacations, I thought I would show off some of my recent vacation photos. I am still in the process of editing them. We only took about 740. It's not an exaggeration. That is probably a conservative number.

I'm thinking of making it a weekly or biweekly post. I have enough pictures, I estimate in general about 2500. I need a good name for it though. Let me know if you come up with any suggestions.

"Is it really only Wednesday?"

I had a long day at work. I'm not sure how much I am up to writing today. I have so much stuff that needs to be done, wash the sheets, do some dishes, clean the closets, kill dust rhinos(that is a blog entry all it's own), but all I want to do is watch Law & Order and take a nap. Oh yeah by the way I'm almost as passionate about L& O as I am about football. Speaking of football, there are only 9 days until training camp.

Since I'm on the subject of counting days why don't I give a list. Okay lets see :
17 days untill Fanfest at BOA Stadium
28 days until preseason games
53 days until regular season

And last but not least
142 days until my Walt Disney world Vacation with my vacation buddy Joel, my husband, and stepfather-in-law.

If I can make it to ANY of those milestones I will be pretty peachy.

I decided to take Beth's advice and write about my "children". I have 3 beautiful black cats. Yes I said black. My cats cross my path all the time and the only time that it is really unlucky is when it is 3am and I am stumbling to the bathroom and someone decides they want to be fed.

I guess they figure if they ambush you, you can't ignore them

This is Xena, although you can't see much of her she is a big girl. There is 17 lbs and 4oz of her to love. Don't tell anyone, but I think she is my favorite.

Next on the hit parade we have Gabrielle. Gabrielle and Xena are sisters from the same litter. This is her favorite spot in the house. On my pillow if I am there or not.

This is our newest edition although we have had him close to two years now. His name is Little Brother. He is the one most likely to think that midnight is playtime. And by no means leave water out in a glass overnight, because it is sure to be broken in the middle of the night. When that glass hits the hardwood floors you swear someone is breaking into the house.

Ah a moment of peace! I don't want to sound like they don't get along, oh wait they don't. We'll really it's Xena's house and we all occupy it. She can get a little cranky when Little Brother wants to play. Sometimes they can share space, when there eating, catching prey (ie moths and flies), and when my husband tries to make any kind of sandwich. So really anytime there is food involved.

I could go on and on about my "kids", just ask my coworkers, but I won't. Next time I will have to one of those scrapbook layout projects I promised. Hey I think this blogging thing is getting easier.

My very first post

I was convinced that I needed to have a blog by my friend Beth. She thought it was a fun idea for me to show my scrapbook pages and my other craft projects. So I thought I wiould give it a try. I'm not sure what I am doing but hopefully I won't make too many mistakes.

Let's see I guess I can start out telling you a little about me and my world. I have lived in Greensboro, NC for about 13 years now. I have a husband and 3 cats. My husband and I love to travel, most often to Disney World. I AM the resident Disney vacation expert in my circle of friends and coworkers.

Also I am one of the only women that I know that knows more about Professional Football than my husband. What I like to tell people about that is he usually tells me about the actual nuances of the rules and I tell him the names and stats about all the players. Men always tell him he is a lucky man. I think we make a great team! As a side note there are only 11 days until training camp begins!!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!

Okay so I will start next time with posting some of my craft pictures. I am still figuring out this Blog thing. I hope everyone has a great day.
